Newbury and Thatcham Archers is a group based in and around Newbury and Thatcham area of West Berkshire. Following successful training courses over the last three years our membership has grown and currently this year stands at 78. A few years ago the club's membership had fluctuated at around 40-50 We meet almost every week at a number of different sites in the area and some competitions and special events during the year. The members age from 12 years to 80+ and shoot a mixture of traditional longbow, recurve & compound bows. As the club started in July 1957 three years ago was our 50th anniversary. In 1997 the club became Newbury and Thatcham Archers to better reflect the club´s growing number of members from the Thatcham area. At this time the club's logo was changed. The club is not affiliated to any of the national archery associations such as the GNAS, NFAS or BLBS and therefore the membership fees are exceptional value for money. A fuller history of the club can be viewed by selecting one of the menu options on the left. Please click on the News link for forthcoming events. Don't forget to bookmark us!
